All fees are in AUD and inclusive of GST. All streamed sessions will be in AEDT.

**There are requirements for the following registration types:
      Trainee   - Must be a trainee who has not had a specialist qualification (e.g. FRACS for surgeons).
      Scientific - Must be in a full time research position and not in clinical practice.
      Student   - Must be a full time student in a relevant health or medical course / degree. A proof of full time study from
                        the university must be submitted.

Virtual Registration Entitlements

  • Secure online access to all conference program sessions, via live streaming portal
  • Access to the virtual exhibition
  • Visit to the virtual exhibition booths, connect with sponsors and exhibitors in real time or schedule meetings
  • Participate in live Q&A during live streamed sessions
  • Access to On-Demand Recordings. This will be available for 6 months post-conference. Join live or watch in your own time
  • Virtual networking with other delegates - create new connections and stay in touch with colleagues

Payment

Invoices need to be paid within 14 days.

Payment can be made by personal cheque, credit card or direct bank transfer in Australian dollars (AUD) only

  • Payment by credit card - Secure payment can be made online after completing the online registration form.
  • Payment by EFT - Please quote your invoice number when paying by this method.

Cancellation Policy

Registration
If notification of cancellation is made in writing to the
Conference Secretariat prior to Monday 25 October 2021, a full refund will be given (less a $175 processing fee). After this date no refund will be given, however a substitute delegate may be accepted. 

Accommodation
The cancellation fees for accommodation are different for each hotel, please visit the
Accommodation page for a list of individual cancellation policies. 

Liability/Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Neither SSA nor DC Conference & Association Management will accept liability for, but not limited to:

  • Damages of any nature (including financial) sustained by participants, or loss or damage to their personal property in the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters, loss;
  • Loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Conference or through cancellation of the Conference;
  • Loss of international/domestic air fares or accommodation through cancellation for any reason;
  • Medical Expenses.Insurance is the responsibility of the individual delegate and should be purchased in your country of origin.
Delegates are strongly recommended to take out a suitable travel insurance policy including coverage for non-refundable registration fees when you register for the meeting and book your travel.

Force Majeure

The Committee and organisers of the conference shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations here under to the extent such delay or failure is caused by fire, flood, strike, civil, governmental or military authority, acts of God, acts of terrorism, acts of war, epidemics, the un-availability of the venue or other similar causes beyond its reasonable control and without fault or negligence. For one or more of such reasons, the organisers and any co-organisers of the conference may postpone, reschedule or cancel the event without liability on the part of organisers and co-organisers of the conference. In the event the meeting cannot be held or is postponed pursuant to this section, the organisers and co-organisers of the conference shall not be liable to attendee for any direct, consequential or incidental damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodations costs, or financial losses.
