Shed Tour One - Murraylands Men's Shed, Murray Bridge

Delegates will travel 80kms along the M1 South Eastern Freeway from Morphettville to Murray Bridge via Harndorf and Mt Barker.
The Murraylands Community Men’s Shed is an incorporated not for profit organisation offering activities that include wood turning, wood carving, scroll sawing, carpentry, making toys, welding, gardening, computer activities, cooking classes and socialising.The Shed is located at the Murray Bridge Showgrounds with funding and land provided by the Rural City of Murray Bridge Council.The Shed visit will include morning tea, a Shed tour, a CNC demonstration and lunch. https://www.murraybridge.sa.gov.au/menshed

Shed Tour Two - ExxonMobil Birkenhead Terminal and Playford Men's Shed

Stop 1 - ExxonMobil Birkenhead Terminal
The tour will start with a visit to the Mobil Birkenhead Terminal – an important facility in South Australia’s fuel supply chain. The visit will give participants a rare opportunity to peek behind the scenes while on a guided bus tour of the fuel distribution terminal. Please Note-·
Stop 2 - Playford Men's Shed
The Playford Men’s Shed is auspiced by the City of Playford and members have recently moved into a new facility. The Shed is open five days per week and provides ongoing programmes in health and safety, First-Aid, volunteering as well as traditional Men’s Shed activities such as wood-working and metal-work. The Men’s Shed is also a key hub location for men in the Playford region to access information on men’s services, with clear links and pathways to relevant services and programmes within the Playford region.
The Shed visit will include, a Shed tour and lunch in their lovely garden area.Please Note: this tour will arrive back at Morphettville Racecourse by 2pm
Shed Tour Three - Adelaide Oval and Salvos Men's Shed

Stop 1 - Adelaide Oval
Go behind the scenes and visit a number of areas that are usually inaccessible and learn about the heritage and significance of Adelaide Oval. Expert volunteer guides share captivating tales of the history of the venue, the sporting greats who have competed here and the Oval’s iconic status in SA. Entry fee applicable. Stop 2 - Salvos Men's Shed
The Salvos Men's shed was established 4 years ago as a result a collaborative venture between the Salvation Army who had a shed and a group of local shedders who lost the use of a nearby men's shed. While the shed is considered as a program of the Salvation Army, it is relatively autonomous with its own management team (Leader and 6 supervisors). The shed undertakes repair of donated goods for resale which would normally go to landfill as well as building new furniture for Salvo programs. In addition, shedders do their own projects as well as projects for both the public and for local kindy / child care groups. The Salvos Men's Shed operates from 9am to 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays with consideration being given to expand to accommodate other groups such as women, youth and rehab patients.
The Shed visit will include a Shed tour and lunch.

Adelaide Gaol
Experience what life was like behind bars for the prisoners who once called Adelaide Gaol their home. Open for business from 1841 to 1988, Adelaide Gaol was one of Australia's longest continuously operational prison facilities. Almost 300,000 prisoners whiled away some time at His (or Her) Majesty's pleasure, and 45 unfortunates were executed within its walls, including the only woman to be executed in South Australia.
