Dr Nick Christelis

Dr Nick Christelis is medical director and co-founder of Pain Specialists Australia, a multidisciplinary pain clinic, that is a tier 1 college accredited pain training unit.He holds two pain fellowship qualifications: one from Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FFPMANZCA), the other, from the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in London, UK (FFPMRCA).

Dr Paul Frank

Dr Paul Frank (FFPMANZCA) is a pain medicine specialist practicing on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Paul integrates interventional pain procedures within a multidisciplinary paradigm. He founded and continues to run the multidisciplinary pain program at Buderim Private Hospital. He continues to provide support at the public persistent pain management service, a tier 1 FPM accredited unit. His particular area of interest is ultrasound guided peripheral nerve procedures.

Dr Romil Jain

Dr Romil Jain is the founder and Director of ACT Pain Centre. Dr Jain is a qualified Specialist Pain Medicine Physician and Interventional Pain Specialist. Dr Jain believes in comprehensive care of chronic pain patients in multidisciplinary environment. He is an ‘Interventional Pain Specialist’ and uses Pain Procedures as part of Biopsychosocial model of Pain.

Dr Vahid Mohabbati

Dr Mohabbati is an Australian trained Interventional Pain and Palliative Medicine Specialist. Dr Mohabbati is the Medical Director of Sydney Pain Management Centre, SPMC (Est. 1976). He is also the Medical Director and co-founder of Sydney Pain And Rehabilitation Centre (Est. 2015). Dr Mohabbati is also the Founding Director of Sydney Pain Research Centre.


Dr Alan Nazha

Dr Alan Nazha is the co-founder and director of Sydney Pain Specialists. He has private hospital appointments at The Sydney Adventist Hospital, Norwest Private Hospital, The Northern Beaches Hospital and The Mater Hospital. Dr Nazha has a special interest in the utilisation of Peripheral Nerve Stimulation in the treatment of persistent post-surgical pain, neuropathic pain, CRPS.



Dr Murray Taverner

Dr Murray Taverner is a specialist anaesthetist and pain medicine physician at Frankston Hospital. He is the director/founder of Frankston Pain Management, a private collaborative multidisciplinary pain clinic. He is an adjunct senior lecturer Monash University. He is a tireless patient advocate for a comprehensive holistic pain management and the application of evidence-based therapy in public and private sectors to maximise function whilst minimising pain and suffering.

Dr Paul Verrills

Dr Paul Verrills practices full time interventional pain management and is a Director of Metro Pain Group in Melbourne, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Musculoskeletal Medicine and completed Masters in Pain Medicine under Professor Bogduk, at the University of Newcastle. He was awarded his International Fellowship in Interventional Pain Practice and was an immediate past President of the Neuromodulation Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Dr James Yu

Dr James Yu is the Medical Director of Sydney Spine and Pain with several multi-disciplinary pain centres across Sydney. He is also the director of SSP Rehab and REGAIN multidisciplinary pain management program. He is trained in all areas of pain medicine with clinical expertise in interventional pain procedures including spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal pump implant.
