Registration Desk

The registration desk will be situated in the Gallery, adjacent to the Federation Ballroom and will be open as follows. The staff at the registration desk will be happy to help you with your enquiries.

 • Thursday 31 October 13:00 – 19:00 

• Friday 1 November 08:00 – 13:30

• Saturday 2 November 08:30 – 17:00 

Exhibition

An exhibition of related products, services and technologies is being held in conjunction with the meeting. The exhibition is located within the Federation Ballroom and the opening times are as follows. Catering breaks will be held within the Exhibition.

Speaker Preparation Desk

The Speaker Preparation Desk will be located in The Gallery, adjacent to the meeting registration desk. 

Please ensure you check into speaker preparation at the meeting at your earliest opportunity and no later than 2 hours prior to your session starts to check in, check your presentation file and provide any updates as needed. 

All presentations for this meeting should be formatted to 16:9 widescreen format and sent through to the conference secretariat at usanznsw2019@dcconferences.com.au ahead of the conference.

Please also bring along a copy of your presentation to the meeting on a USB as a back-up.

Posters

Submitted poster presentations for those presenting in the Chris Farrell Prize presentations will be located in the Gallery. Posters can be put up any time from 11am on Thursday 31 October. Velcro will be available at the conference registration desk.

Childminding

As a courtesy to our delegates, DC Conferences can provide a list of independent third parties who may be available to provide babysitting/childcare services to our delegates while they attend our state section meeting. 

Neither DC Conferences or USANZ make any representations concerning the quality, reputation, or safety of the companies appearing on this list. USANZ and the PCO advise the interested delegates to determine that the company chosen by them to provide babysitting/childcare services is accredited and/or insured. Breastfeeding Space

A private space to feed or express is available at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra. Please contact the Conference Secretariat prior to the event if you would like to utilise this. 

Car Parking  - Conference Venue

Car Parking is available at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra for $25 for 24 hours for self-parking or $35 for 24 hours for Valet Parking. There is also parking available in the streets around the hotel at $13.90 per day.

WiFi

Complimentary wireless internet will be available throughout the venue. Please see the conference registration desk for details on how to connect.

Dietary Requirements

If you have not already done so, please advise the Conference Secretariat of any specific dietary requirements and/or food allergies. Similarly, if you have booked an additional ticket for a guest and your guest has dietary requirements please ensure you have provided this information to the Conference Secretariat. Upon attending the conference, please make yourself known to banqueting staff in order to collect your specific meal. 

Certificate of Attendance

All delegates attending the Meeting will receive an attendance certificate via email.  

This educational activity has been approved in the RACS CPD Program. Fellows who participate can claim one point per hour in Maintenance of Knowledge and Skills.

Participation in this activity will be populated into your RACS CPD Online. 

If you have not provided your RACS ID during the registration process please send this through to the usanznsw2019@dcconferences.com.au or visit the registration desk at the meeting.

Photography

During the Meeting photographic images will be taken and may be used for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to have your image taken please let registration staff know on site. .

Conference Feedback

Upon departing the conference, you will be emailed a link to the evaluation form, your participation in this would be greatly appreciated. Feedback is important to ensure changes and improvements can be made for future conferences.

Liability/ Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Neither USANZ nor DC Conferences will accept liability for damages of any nature (including financial) sustained by participants, or loss or damage to their personal property in the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters. Insurance is the responsibility of the individual delegate.It is recommended you take out a suitable travel insurance policy including coverage for non refundable registration fees when you register for the meeting and book your travel.
