Conference Presentations 

The intent of the conference is to:

●      present information and strategies that professionals and families can use to support children's equity and the best way to achieve excellence and development through participation and engagement in activities and settings of their choice,

●      provide ideas on engaging families and working in partnership to achieve shared outcomes and

●      develop a research agenda that guides policy and practice.

We are seeking presentations exploring innovative practice, professional support, family support, research and policy directions that reflect the theme of the conference, Excellence and Equity. 

Presentation themes

When submitting your abstract please select from the list below all the concurrent session themes related to your abstract:

  • Strategies to strengthen children's engagement and participation in home and community settings
  • Building collaborative partnerships with professionals, families and agencies
  • Inclusive practices – how to facilitate support for children with disability in contexts of their choice
  • Working in rural/remote and outreach settings
  • Innovative service development and service delivery models.
  • Outcomes for the child, family and community
  • Integrating research and practice

Oral presentations that focus on current research or applications of recommended ECI practice or policies are encouraged.

Submitting an Abstract

We invite you to submit an abstract for review and possible inclusion in the conference program. 
Presentation format:

Please note abstracts can be submitted as either oral or poster presentation. You will be able to select your preference during the submission proceed. Please note the final format will be at the discretion of the committee.

Oral presentation: 

Oral presentation will be for 10 minutes, with an additional 5 minute Q&A

Poster presentation:
Please keep to a maximum of 10 PowerPoint slides in 16:9 format. As a guide, it is best to use no more than 8 lines of bold print per page, and try not to make the slides too busy!

Review process

A blinded review process will be undertaken by a panel of experts and scored against a set of standardised criteria.  The decision of the committee is final.

Notification of outcome of submission

The primary author will be notified of acceptance or rejection of the abstract via email by 12 September 2022

Attendance  

Presenting authors are expected to register to attend the conference if their abstract is accepted for oral presentation. Failure to register will result in the abstract being withdrawn from the program.

Registrations will open on 15 August 2022
