Workshops

The LE SUMMIT is being designed to be very hands on and interactive.

The LE SUMMIT will explore the critical role of lived experience in suicide prevention and provide a unique opportunity for organisations, government, service providers and people with lived experience to come together to learn from each other, develop important working relationships and inform the next phase of lived experience evolution.

The event will be workshop based with organisations and researchers bringing specific projects or topics of discussion to the table for lived experience input and guidance. In addition to workshops, there will also be ‘Whole of Summit’ facilitated sessions about specific issues affecting people with lived experience, and the engagement of people with lived experience.

Workshops will fit into 1 of 5 categories:

  • Research
  • Clinical
  • Hospital, Health and Community Services
  • Workplaces
  • Digital

Ideas for possible workshops:

• Your organisation may have a specific project requiring lived experience co-design or lived experience input to inform content, audience, implementation.

• A research project may commence co-design at the SUMMIT and then progress afterwards with the ongoing inclusion of the lived experience workshop participants.

• A group of Employer Assistance Program organisations or corporate businesses may come together with lived experience people for a facilitated workshop around how they can best support people in relation to suicide.

• Clinicians may work alongside lived experience delegates to share perspectives and insights surrounding treatment for suicidal people.

We are keen to hear from organisations interested in hosting a workshop at the LE Summit.  Opportunities also exist to sponsor individual workshops or ‘Whole of Summit’ sessions.
