Welcome to the 2018 Australian Dementia Forum

On behalf of the NHMRC National Institute for Dementia Research I would like to extend a warm invitation to attend the third NNIDR Australian Dementia Forum.

The 2018 theme of Cooperation, Collaboration and International Connections aims to bring together Australia’s best dementia researchers with key thought leaders from around the world, to share knowledge and build upon our shared efforts across prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care. ADF2018 will connect researchers, consumers, health professionals and philanthropic organisations in a common goal – improved outcomes for all Australians living with dementia.

International programs, such as the EU Joint Program – Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) will be featured, in addition to a range of speakers exploring the benefits and key challenges of sharing knowledge and creating international communities of practice.

In addition to presentations from international and national keynote speakers, ADF2018 will also feature panel style talks, roundtable sessions and networking events. Researchers, practitioners, students, carers and people with dementia are strongly encouraged to attend this year’s Forum to contribute their insights and hear news of latest developments.

I look forward to welcoming you to the Forum in Sydney.

Professor Glenda Halliday
Chair and Forum Convenor
