Biography

Mrs Megan White undertook a Clinical redesign program focusing on patients who are Restricted weight bearing following orthopaedic injury. Megan and her team successfully implemented a Model of Care for this cohort of patients. Megan is also currently undertaking a Master of Philosophy at University of Sydney looking at Enhanced recovery following Orthopaedic surgery.

Biography

Ms Cheryl Kimber was authorised as a Nurse Practitioner in Orthopaedics July, 2005. She was Australia’s first authorised Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner. In the role of nurse practitioner Cheryl works in an extended expert nursing role where her scope of practice is in the area of trauma orthopaedics across the lifespan from paediatric to older adult. Her nursing practice extends from the emergency department, inpatient and outpatient setting, following the patient's journey into their community. In the 2016 SALHN Annual Excellence awards she was the winner in the category for Improving Access to Care for her innovative and progressive work with the virtual clinic.

Biography

Ms Shareena Arif has 22 years of experience in the nursing profession (21 years as an Orthopaedic nurse) and currently holds the post of Chief Matron at a State of Klang Hospital (Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang Hospital - Government hospital). As a graduate with Master of Nursing Sciences (Orthopaedic) from the University of Adelaide, Australia, Shareena has vast experience and special interest in Orthopaedic Spinal Nursing.
