Due to the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pain Interest Group Nursing Issues has postponed the Annual Professional Development Day 2020 until October 2021. While this has been a difficult decision, we take our social responsibility role very seriously and feel it would be irresponsible to hold such an event at this time.I trust you understand and appreciate this decision.
On behalf of the organising committee, I invite you to join us at the SMC Conference and Function Centre in Sydney for our Annual Professional Development Day Friday 23rd October . This year’s theme, Preventing Pain will reflect the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) 2020 Global Year for the Prevention of Pain.
An exciting program of expert speakers has been developed which will focus on current issues in managing pain such as transition of acute to chronic pain, as well as multimodal and multidisciplinary approaches to pain treatments.
This event is one of the largest pain management focused Professional Development Days for nurses in NSW. It offers the opportunity to network with health professionals who have an interest in providing optimal pain management to the patients under their care.
Once again, we are expecting a great showcase of exhibitors, to show you all the latest developments in products and services they have to offer this sector.
We look forward to seeing you in Sydney in October 2020.
