Sally was born and raised in Newcastle and graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Arts (Communication Studies) and a Bachelor of Laws and Diploma of Legal Practice in 2006. She was heavily involved in NSW Young Lawyers for over 7 years, being an Executive Councillor, Chair of the Bushweb Regional Issues Committee, and an active representative on the NSW Law Society Regional Issues Committee. She is currently in her third term as Treasurer of Newcastle Law Society.

Away from the law, Sally’s passions include exploring her love of playwriting, with her short and full length plays performed at over 20 festivals and events staged in Australia and overseas.
